教育及工作经历：2002年于中国科学院武汉病毒研究所获得硕士学位，2006年于荷兰Wageningen大学研究中心获得博士学位。2007年获得玛丽居里奖学金资助加入德国海德堡大学从事医学病毒分子生物学研究。2013年至2022年担任中国科学院上海巴斯德研究所研究员，博士生导师，病毒组装课题组长。2022年至今担任复旦大学基础医学院病原生物学系研究员。主持,参与十二五艾滋病肝炎研究重大专项、国家重点研发丙肝项目（973），生物安全项目和自然科学基金委项目,上海市重大项目等。

医学病毒的感染和致病机制及嗜神经病毒感染活细胞示踪体系研发。近年来龙钢研究员主要关注病毒组装与宿主相互作用，聚焦病毒组装与脂蛋白颗粒和细胞外囊泡交叉界面，提出细胞外囊泡和脂蛋白参与调控病毒感染和免疫逃逸的新模式。
